McConnell was featured as a cast member in MTV's Beauty School Cop Outs. It was inaccurately reported that Jeremy was Mr. Ireland in the 2012; he was actually runner-up, but did win Mr. Dublin. In January 2016, he became a housemate in the British television programme, Celebrity Big Brother competing in the seventeenth series. On 29 January 2016, he became the sixth housemate to be evicted having received the fewest amount of votes to save, spending a total of 25 days in the house.

Personal life
During his time in the house, he became most known for his relationship with fellow housemate, Stephanie Davis, despite her being in a relationship with model Sam Reece, on the outside. After leaving the house, Davis and McConnell continued their relationship, but split in late April. In May, Davis announced that she was pregnant with McConnell's baby. She later revealed that she was having a boy. On January 13th 2017, Davis gave birth to her son, Caben-Albi George Davis. Throughout the pregnancy, McConnell has had doubts about the child's paternity but confirmed on 11 February 2017 that Caben-Albi George Davis is his son, following positive DNA testing.
