Jela Krecic (born 1979) is a Slovenian journalist, best known for her exclusive interview with Julian Assange in December 2013, and for being married to philosopher Slavoj Zizek.

Life
Krecic was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia (then part of Yugoslavia) as the daughter of the art historian Peter Krecic. She received her graduate degree, defending her thesis about art manifestos of Slovene historical avant-garde, from Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Ljubljana, where she also received her PhD in philosophy under the guidance of Mladen Dolar from Faculty of Arts in 2009. Since 2013, she has been married to philosopher Slavoj Zizek.
Work
She works as a journalist for the biggest Slovenian newspaper Delo, where her exclusive interview with Julian Assange was published in both English and Slovene language.
