He is best known for keyboard work in the 1970s and 1980s, playing regularly with Cat Stevens (e.g. "Peace Train", 1976), playing and composing with Sting (e.g. "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", 1981) and performing a variety of roles with dozens of others (e.g. Paul Kossoff, Elkie Brooks, Dusty Springfield, Celine Dion, Suzi Quatro, Donovan, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Joan Armatrading, etc.).
