Jayesh Sachdev is a Visual Artist, and Creative Entrepreneur. Sachdev conceptualised and co-founded the popular culture Fashion and Lifestyle label Quirk Box. Multi Award Winning Artist, he holds the National Record for having painted India's largest New Media Artwork. He is the British Council recipient for the Young Creative Arts Entrepreneur Award. Practicing Fine Artist and Founder of Emblem a Commercial Arts studio, his passionate project Quirk Box has won the Vogue India and Grazia India Fashion Awards. Sachdev lives and works from his studio in Pune.

Early life and career

Jayesh started his career at an Advertising and Design Agency in Singapore. Jayesh founded his independent design studio, Emblem in 2006. As a creative entrepreneur, Jayesh setup Emblem Studios, Emblem Tee and Emblem Art Gallery which would win him the British Council Creative Arts Entrepreneur Award, 2008. Jayesh has been a full-time practicing Artist since 2007.

His love for Popular culture and South East Asian Art education dominate the influences in his style of work as an artist, along with his on going series of Nude Paintings that have extensively travelled on art exhibits. Jayesh was cited as the Andy Warhol of India. In 2010, Jayesh was bestowed the Limca Book National Record for creating India’s largest new media artwork at 40 ft×40 ft.

Sachdev’s works for Quirk Box are highly Graphic, Quirky, inherently popular culture inspired, with Japanese and Manga influences. While his Art is often muted with sensuous imagery. Sachdev is also a credited TEDx Speaker.

The never before initiated concept of Fiat Tyre Art was used to create artistic impressions on 40 FT * 40 FT Ply Wood, using a Fiat 500 car for a paintbrush. It holds a National Record for the largest New Media Painting in India in the Limca Book of Records.

    "As an artist, I have explored various subjects. I find nothing more sensitive and resplendent than the female form. The subtle contours formed with light and shadow, exude an elusive sultriness that I try to capture.
