Randy "Jay" Jackson (born October 27, 1987) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres.

Career

Jackson played college baseball at Furman University. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the ninth round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft. He played in the Cubs organization until 2012. He spent 2013 in the Miami Marlins organization and 2014 with the AAA affiliates of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers.

Prior to 2015, Jackson signed with the San Diego Padres. He was called up to the majors for the first time on September 14, 2015. Jackson was released by the Padres after the season and signed with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for 2016.
