Jauhar saleem ambassador of pakistan to germany
Education
Educated at the Government College Lahore, University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University.
Career
Jauhar Saleem has served at various assignments in the Pakistan Foreign Office as well as Pakistan's diplomatic missions abroad, including Brazil, Turkey, USA, Bosnia and Croatia. Prior to his appointment as ambassador in 2007, he was also the Director General for Europe and Eurasia in the Foreign Office, Islamabad.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Jauhar Saleem has been extensively involved in expanding relations between Pakistan and Bosnia during his stay in Sarajevo since 2008. He oversaw the US $ 5 million development cooperation project by Pakistan for the victims of Srebrenica genocide. He also supported the setting up of a Pakistan Chair in University of Sarajevo, greater cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Bosnia, important bilateral visits, finalizing of bilateral trade agreement and various endeavours aimed at expanding trade between the two countries.
Bahrain
Mr. Jauhar Saleem served as the Ambassador at the Embassy of Pakistan in Bahrain from 2011 to 2014.
Foreign Office Islamabad
Mr. Jauhar Saleem served as Additional Foreign Secretary (Administration) and Director-General of the Foreign Service Academy Islamabad between 2014 and 2015.
Germany
In October 2015, he was appointed as Pakistan's Ambassador to Germany and took charge in January 2016.
