Jason M. Rush is an American attorney and Head of Media and Strategic Communication at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Work prior to ADB

Before joining ADB, Rush worked for UNICEF Myanmar, where he participated in relief efforts following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. He also worked as an advocate on children’s rights and development issues, trained Burmese journalists about children’s rights, and led communication efforts to protect families from avian influenza.

Rush previously worked at UNICEF Vietnam, where he worked on emergency flood relief programs, and also developed landmine injury prevention programs.

Before working in international development, Rush worked on civil rights cases at Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and served as an attorney with a plaintiffs’ law firm in Denver, Colorado.

Education and professional qualifications

Rush is a licensed attorney at law who holds a Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., a Master's in development communication from Malmo University in Sweden, and a Bachelor's in political studies from Claremont Colleges in California.
