History

Jarrow Roofing Boldon Community Association were formed in 1987 and started in the South Tyneside Senior League, winning it at the first attempt and moving to the Tyneside Amateur League. After three successive championships the club entered the Wearside League Division Two in 1991 and were promoted to Division One after finishing runners-up in their first season.

In 1995–96, the club finished runners-up of Division One and were promoted to the Northern Football League Division Two. They were promoted to Division One in their inaugural season after finishing third, while also winning the Craven Cup defeating Shotton Comrades 4–0 in the final. After 11 seasons in the first division, a spell which also included a run to the FA Vase semi-final in the 2004–05 season, eventually losing to Didcot Town, Roofing were relegated back to Division Two at the end of the 2007–08 season. Roofing regained their Division One status two seasons later after another third-place finish. In 2011–12, the club finished 20th and were relegated back to Division Two.

After finishing in 4th place in the 2012–13 season and missing out on promotion by goal difference, Roofing secured promotion back to Division One the following year. The Roofers also won the Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup by defeating Washington 1–0.
