Academic career

After MA's the University of Sydney and Victoria University of Wellington Wilson did a PhD from St Catherine’s College, Oxford. She then taught at Otago University and was a Fellow at the University of Oxford and Birkbeck, University of London.

She is current Professor of English and Postcolonial Studies at the University of Northampton, editor of the Journal of Postcolonial Writing and on the board of the Journal of New Zealand Literature.
