Henry R. Luce and the Rise of the American News Media

James L. Baughman was the Fetzer-Bascom Professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was born in 1952 in Warren, Ohio and died March 26, 2016. Baughman taught at the University of Wisconsin starting in 1979 and is the author of four books on the history of mass communication in the United States. He won the University of Wisconsin-Madison's distinguished teaching award in 2003.
