Career
For 2 years Friend was part of Wisbech Town's academy before taking a trial at Peterborough United and later being signed to their youth team. In 2015 Friend signed his first professional contract along with 4 other youth players for the League 1 side Peterborough United. Early into the 2015-16 season, Friend was loaned out to Boston United.
