Jack Bassam Barakat was born on June 18, 1988 in Lebanon. He is the current lead guitarist and backing vocalist for the American rock band All Time Low.

Early Life and Musical Career
Barakat was born in Lebanon. At the age of one, his parents and himself fled the war. They situated themselves in Baltimore, Maryland where Barakat would later start his musical career. During Barakat's middle school years, he met Alexander Gaskarth who is currently the lead singer of their band, All Time Low. Barakat and Gaskarth became "best friends" or "brothers" according to them. After middle school, Barakat attended Dulaney High School where he met current drummer of All Time Low, Rian Dawson. Barakat later met Zachary Merrick and "nagged" all three current members to form a band which is now known as, All Time Low. The young band was signed to a record label before they graduated high school.

Religious Views
In a 2012 interview with Enoch Magazine, Barakat said, "I've always been more of a spiritual person than religious. I was raised Greek Orthodox. So I always went to church, celebrated Christmas, and Palm Sunday. But definitely, I'd say I'm a believer."

Barakat and band member, Alex Gaskarth are the radio show hosts of the podcast, Full Frontal.
Stage Accidents
Barakat has only had one major stage accident throughout his career. On August 18, 2008 Barakat broke his nose while stage diving. He had a quick recovery and continued with his career.
