J.V.Manikanda Balaji (born 11 March 1987) .He has worked in around 25 projects as an Associate Film Editor in the Indian Film Industry. He is currently working on his film Idhayam Murali (2015 film) as an Editor, which stars Udhayanidhi Stalin and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. The film is being directed by the well renowned Film Director I. Mueenuddin Ahmed, Who is predominantly known for his hit rom-com Endrendrum Punnagai.

J.V.Manikanda Balaji was born to renowned Indian stunt Coach in the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He grew up heavily influenced by his father’s dedication to the film industry. His childhood was filled with memorable visits to film sets that ignited his lifelong love for the world of films. He is an alumnus of Loyola College, Chennai where he acquired an undergraduate degree in Visual Communication and Post Graduate Degree in Master of Business Administration.
