History

Michael Wittmeyer and Jonathan Wanchalk founded JM Bullion in 2011 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 2014, the company relocated to Dallas, Texas. Southern Methodist University's Caruth Institute named JM Bullion the fastest growing privately held company in Dallas in November 2015. In 2015, the company made approximately $661.26 million in sales. In March 2016, JM announced that it was accepting bitcoin for payments through a partnership with BitPay, making it one of the first companies in its industry to accept bitcoin. During the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, JM released an analysis of the actual metal contents of medals given during the Olympics and the approximate metal value of each.
