J.Rajiv Choudhry is an Indian Theatre Actor and Director associated with ‘The Madras Players’ - the oldest English language theatre group in Chennai, India. He has appeared in TV commercials and Tamil movies. Rajiv also uses theatre, film, art, craft, sports, adventure, simulations and other creative tools to train corporates and young adults in behavioural skills using experiential learning methodologies.

Early life

J. Rajiv Choudhry was born in Chennai to a Punjabi family. He did his schooling from DAV Higher Secondary School, Gopalapuram and served as a first school captain in 1975. He graduated in commerce from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College, Chennai. Rajiv was introduced to the stage as an actor at the age of 10. His father, Shri Jaidevji is a senior educationist and Vedic scholar. He is Vice President of the Arya Samaj and started the DAV institutions under the management of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educationist Society.

Acting career

Rajiv has been involved in over 300 assignments in TV commercials, corporate films, print ads, theatre productions & feature films. He has done characters roles in movies like Minnale, Ullam Ketkumae, Mayakkam Enna. Rajiv turned entrepreneur at the age of 19. He is a serial entrepreneur and presently, the Founder and CEO of ATBM Holdings, a company providing corporate training through its Experiential learning division-E-Factor. He serves as consultant to FICCI for its annual Best Animated Frames [BAF] Awards held during the FICCI FRAMES Festival. Rajiv also serves as Board Member on the Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society [DAV Group of Schools].

Motor Sport

Rajiv started rallying at the age of 18 and participated in several national rallies as part of the JK Tyres team, placing in the top 3 consistently and winning the national championship. He has served as a Committee member, Director of the Races and also as Steward of the Madras Motor Sports Club during the period of 1985 to 2000.
