Ivans Xtc (sometimes stylized as ivansxtc) is 2000 British–American independent drama film co-written and directed by Bernard Rose and stars Danny Huston and Peter Weller. It is based on Leo Tolstoys novella The Death of Ivan Ilyich and is Roses second adaptation of a work by Tolstoy, after the 1997 adaptation of Anna Karenina. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2000. It was released in the United States (New York and Los Angeles) on July 7, 2002 and on July 19, 2002 in the United Kingdom.
