Biology
Isla Santa Cruz has six species of reptile, including Crotalus atrox (Western Diamond-backed Rattlesnake), Lampropeltis californiae (California Kingsnake), Phyllodactylus nocticolus (Peninsular Leaf-toed Gecko), Rena humilis (Western Threadsnake), Sauromalus ater (Common Chuckwalla), and Sceloporus angustus (Isla Santa Cruz Sator).
