Ishan Institute of Management and Technology

History

Founded in 1994, the institute started with just 60 students at Karol Bagh in Delhi. But staying true to its unique methodology of imparting knowledge, through case method of research and teaching, multiple project work and assignments, IIMT soon climbed the ladder. In 1996, the institute moved from Karol Bagh to its present campus at Knowledge Park 1 in Greater Noida, to cater to the student population of around 400 students per year.

Campus

The Ishan campus is located Greater Noida, on the main road to the left of Pari Chowk ending Greater Noida Expressway. Many of the buildings have red-stone exteriors. Ishan maintains a number of facilities, including a sports center, Information Technology Center, Aryabhata Library,Manali Gym Club, Ishan Golf Club, Seminar Halls, Conference Rooms and one of the biggest and most equipped Auditorium in Delhi NCR, that are dedicated for the exclusive use of its community. Most classrooms are located in the Management House, most of which are 60-student rooms. This design facilitates the teaching of the case method with the help of technology supported infrastructure. Aryabhata Library was opened in 2000 featuring student study spaces and Online Research Area. The fitness center is located in the main Campus as well as Hostels, Manali Gym Club, which houses the majority of the faculty. Management House is also the location of the Computer Lab for Research where many business research studies are conducted. The various in-campus hostels can accommodate a student strength of 700 students.

Programmes

Post Graduate Diploma in Management

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), is a two-year, full time, residential programme approved by AICTE. The programme offers dual specialization in finance, marketing, human resources and international business, and is ranked among the top 50 in the country. The specializations are chosen at the time of admission. The programme considers CAT, XAT, CMAT and GMAT scores for admission, but places more emphasis on academic performance in graduation and intermediate, versatility in extra-curricular activities and relevant work experience (if any). The Institute offers the Management Program in the stream of Business Management, Marketing Management, International Business, Human Resource Management and Financial Management.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management - PGDM (Business Management)(2 year full-time)

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), formerly known as Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) is meant for those who want to shape their career in business and excel, after a strong academic background. The PGDM course offered at IIMT is based on industry needs & linked with practical framing, has the most contemporary & innovative curriculum designed to enhance students knowledge & experience, providing them with skills & tools necessary for global leadership position. The First year subjects are common to all students and in the Second year, students will be chiseled in specialised areas of Marketing, Finance, HR and IT. Thrust in marketing area will be Export Import Management and Retail Marketing. Where as in Finance area the emphasis will be on Project Appraisal, Financing Management and Corporate Laws. Apart from major specialisation students can opt for minor specialisation during second year. The programme has seen much pedagogical experimentation over the years, including social projects and business plans, use of theatre to learn management, Assessment and Development of Managerial Potential.

Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management - PGDM (MM) (2 year full-time)

The Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management - PGDM(MM), offers the students with the wide exposure in the field of marketing in segments like Service, Manufacturing, Agriculture and Retail Marketing Management etc. The objective is to expose students to the real corporate environment so that they become aware about practical aspects of emerging trends in the area of sales and marketing and equip them with the latest knowledge so that they can take decision on marketing related complex problems effectively and efficiently. Also it aims to make students understand the inter relation of marketing management with other core management functions for greater achievement and quality.

Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management - PGDM (HRM) (2 year full-time)

The Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management - PGDM (HRM), offers Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management which aims at providing efficient and effective Human Resource to meet the need of present and future demand of Industry. The course is designed in such a way that students will get wide exposure of practical and modern aspects of HRM. It aims to provide the necessary inputs to students about modern HRM practices and students can apply and use their skill to deal human resource in most effective way to improve the morale of employees as well as increase the productivity of Institution and the organization.
