Contents
The website markets itself as a website for the global Irish diaspora. Niall O'Dowd, at the website's launch, said that the purpose of the website was to: “[Call] out to the global Irish, wherever they may be, to come home to this very special place. On IrishCentral.com, our worldwide audience will be able to discover or rediscover their Irishness, to connect again to their special and wondrous heritage. We are hoping to do what has never been done before: use the power of the Internet to create a home for the global Irish."
The website mixes original content with content reproduced from the Irish Voice newspaper, Irish America magazine and Home and Away (newspaper)
