Emmanuel Agassi, father of famous tennis player, Andre Agassi, represented Iran as a boxer in the 1948 and 1952 Summer Olympics.
2006 Doha Asian Games
Ten amateur boxers represented IR Iran in this edition of the Asiad. Iran is ranked 6th with 1 gold medal and 3 bronze medals.
