Into Soap Magazine (stylized as IntoSoap) was a fortnightly British magazine covering news, interviews, photos and gossip from the world of British soap opera. It existed between February 2004 and 2008.

History and profile

Branded as a "glam and sexy new magazine" the first issue was launched on 11 February 2004 and featured the following articles:

  • 2 pages on Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow in Coronation Street)
  • 1 page on Ashley and Laurel (Emmerdale)
  • 2 pages on Dennis, Sharon & Vicky (EastEnders)
  • 2 pages on Andy, Katie and Robert (Emmerdale)
  • 2 pages on Ronny and Tariq (EastEnders)
  • 2 pages on Beverley Callard (Coronation Street)
  • 2 pages on Pooja Shah (EastEners' Kareena)
  • 2 pages on Mr Cunningham (Bernard Latham, Hollyoaks)
  • 1 page Behind the Scenes with Neighbours
  • 2 pages on Home and Away's Ada Nicodemou (Up Close and Personal)
  • 1 page on Lee Otway (Bombhead in Hollyoaks)
  • The co-owner and director of Into Soap was Nick Cochrane, who played Andy McDonald on Coronation Street for 9 years. The company he formed for the publication of the magazine was Treble Media Ltd. However, due to fierce competition from other publications Inside Soap and Soaplife, the magazine ran into financial difficulties. Despite the selling of the title to a London company and gaining a readership of 75,000, Into Soap folded in September 2008. The closure of the publication resulted in job losses, unpaid bills to staff and photographers and Cochrane having to sell his house after filing for bankruptcy.
