International Turkmen-Turkish University (Turkmen: Halkara Türkmen-Türk uniwersiteti, Turkish: Uluslararası Türkmen-Türk Üniversitesi, abbreviated as ITTU) is a university located in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The University was established in 1994.

History

International Turkmen-Turkish University was established in connection with the establishment of close cooperation between Turkey and Turkmenistan in 1994. The primary mission of the university is to enable collaborative learning, the development of a common ideology and partnership between the Turkmen and Turkish youth.

May 30, 2013 held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new building complex of the International Turkmen-Turkish University, with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Turkey President Abdullah Gul. The new building built in the western part of Ashgabat, near Keshi. The new building is designed for 3,000 students. Design and construction shall Turkish company "5M Inşaat Tekstil Ithalat Ihrajat Sanaýi Tijaret Limited Şirketi". Release date is scheduled for August 2015.

    In 2003, International Turkmen-Turkish University created the football club HTTU Aşgabat, competing in various competitions among students, and then among professionals. HTTU Aşgabat has won three titles in Turkmenistan Higher League. In 2010 HTTU Aşgabat becomes CIS Cup semi-finalists.
