In molecular biology the International Molecular Exchange Consortium (IMEx) is a group of the major public providers of molecular interaction data. Participating databases include DIP, the Biomolecular Interaction Network Database (BIND), IntAct, the Molecular Interaction Database (MINT), MIPS, MPact, and BioGRID. The group collates the interaction data and prevent duplicate entries in the various databases. The IMEx consortium also worked to develop the HUPO-PSI-MI XML format, which is now widely implemented.
