The International Forum on Globalization (IFG) is a San Francisco-based transnational alternative policy group that analyses the impacts of economic globalization, as well as proposals and information tools oriented towards the enhancement of social justice and ecological sustainability. It was established in 1994 and first convened as the North American Free Trade Agreement came into effect and in the wake of the Uruguay Round of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, the forerunner of the World Trade Organization.

Goals and activities
Through a claimed network of over sixty activists, economists, scholars, and researchers, the IFG claims to: (1) expose the multiple effects of economic globalization in order to stimulate debate, and (2) seek to reverse the globalization process by encouraging ideas and activities which revitalize local economies and communities, and ensure long-term ecological stability.
IFG has developed close ties with activist communities (primarily in the United States) and seeks to support those on the front lines of globalization processes. The principal means by which it has done this include:

The IFG's current core programs (the Asian-Pacific Program and the Plutonomy Program) are addressed primarily to Americans, but also reach out to international activists through online publications and international directors.
