Insigniam was founded by Shideh Sedgh Bina, Nathan O. Rosenberg, and Michael R. Waldman in 2005.

Insigniam resulted from a merger of High Performance Consulting, founded in 1990 by Bina and Waldman, and the Rosenberg Group, founded in 1992 by Nathan O. Rosenberg. Waldman retired in 2013.

Leadership

In addition to co-founding partners Rosenberg and Bina, who also serves as editor-in-chief of Insigniam Quarterly, the firm is managed by 11 partners, located globally, who lead various business channels within the firm.

Co-Founder Nathan Rosenberg has lectured on leadership for twenty consecutive years at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Co-Founder Shideh Bina is an adjunct faculty member of the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at St. Joseph’s University, Department of Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Marketing.

Insigniam publishes the journal Insigniam Quarterly, providing provocative, thought-leadership content for C-suite and executive leaders of Global 1000 companies. Notable cover stories and interviews include Texas Instruments CEO Rich Templeton, Solvay CEO Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, and Pepperidge Farm President Irene Britt. The publication is directly mailed to CEOs, presidents, and chairs of organizations worldwide with annual revenues in excess of $3.5 billion.

The company also publishes an annual executive sentiment survey, regular research, blogs, and is frequently cited by third-party sources.

In April 2013 Insigniam published an application for mobile devices that provides updates on discussions and news, as well as a comparison tool for consulting firms and diagnostic tools for those considering management consulting.

In 2014, the Insigniam analysis of The Ten Disruptive Forces in Healthcare and Critical Success Factors became the basis for a class taught in the Haub School of Business.

Consultants Robert E. Johnston, Jr. and J. Douglas Bate are co-authors of The Power of Strategy Innovation: A New Way of Linking Creativity and Strategic Planning to Discover Great Business Opportunities. Insigniam also partnered with Dr. Thomas Zweifel on his book, Culture Clash 2.0.

Awards

In 2013, the firm received an Award of Excellence for its thought-leadership magazine, Insigniam Quarterly, in the 25th Annual APEX Awards.

In 2014, Insigniam co-founder Shideh Sedgh Bina was named Woman of the Year by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association for her work toward the advancement of women in healthcare worldwide.

In addition, Insigniam partners and consultants were recognized with the 2014 HBA’s Luminary and Rising Star awards.

Insigniam also recognizes their clients courtesy of the annual “Breakthrough Performance Awards,” spotlighting executives who demonstrate leadership in innovation, enterprise-wide transformation, and achieving notable results.

Philanthropy

Insigniam consultants co-founded the Somaly Mam Foundation, dedicated to ridding the world of slavery and aiding slavery survivors, and formed the foundation’s board. Insigniam founder Michael Waldman served as board chair from 2007-2011.

The company does significant work with the Boy Scouts of America. Insigniam founder Nathan Rosenberg has served as the organization’s vice president for marketing and is executive board member, and is also the recipient of the Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo awards.

Insigniam co-founder Shideh Sedgh Bina served as a founding board member on the “End Violence Project,” an organization that works with men incarcerated for life.
