Ingemar Henry Lundquist (born in Stockholm, Sweden October 19, 1921, died in Carmel Valley Village, California February 25, 2007) was a prolific inventor and mechanical engineer.

Patents

He was responsible for at least 78 patents, and hundreds of inventions. Three of his most notable inventions were over the wire balloon angioplasty, T.U.N.A., and Somnoplasty. He worked out of his garage or basement workshops.

Education

He was a graduate of the Stockholm Institute of Technology earning a mechanical engineering degree in 1945.

Early life

In 1948, Ingemar Lundquist immigrated to the United States and he became an American citizen in 1950.
