The start
Under the EU-Egypt association agreement, Egypt is currently implementing an Industrial modernization program, which seeks to raise the competitive edge of local products as well as help the Egyptian industrial sector integrate into global economy. In addition to creating more work opportunities, the program proposes to multiply state revenues by increasing exports.
IDG's shareholders are highly experienced, dedicated and successful professionals who are real state developers, engineering experts and automotive entrepreneurs with a vision to create an exclusive industrial park based on European standards, to attract automotive and modern technology to the middle east.
The Idea
The idea came up as part of realizing the 2006 Mubarak/Merkel initiative for the development of the auto component industry in Egypt.
