History

Índica was born in the year 2006 in Buenos Aires, Argentina when Rubén Farzati and David Vera meets, both with the same aim, to form a unique and personal musical project, trying to generate a space unexisting in the musical scenario. The band is named after a counterculture art gallery of the late 60s, located in Masons Yard, London, England.

By the end of 2006, Índica decides to independently edit its first album called “Liebe” and starts a tour of concerts until the year 2008 when the band calls the people and several musical producers attention. In a concert in “La Trastienda” organized by Sonica/Speedy for the “selection of bands” for the Pepsi Music 2008, Índica meets the music and producer Daniel Melero, who delighted with this unknown band's music, decides to record and produce them. Due to the great musical impact Índica generates in the “selection of bands”, it is selected finalist and performs in the megafestival Pepsi Music 2008, obtaining also a discographic contract with “Arroz Discos” and its distribution by Sony Music.

Style

Índica invites us to an astral and surreal journey, with dark climates and spatial sounds, as if everything was about an asphyxiating dream. Psychedelic lyrics and songs defines a completely eclectic. Some of the recurrent topics of the band are: dreams, love, death, spirituality and the universe. The band started a tour of concerts using image-showing which interact with the music, inviting the audience to participate in the psychedelic audio-visual and connect with the emotions generated by its music.
