Contents

INCPAS serves to advance the CPA designation by encouraging students and CPA candidates to take the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination, and to provide support and services for CPAs from their entry into the workforce through retirement. The Society’s mission is to enhance the professional success of its members while promoting the public interest; to encourage and facilitate the adherence to high ethical and professional standards; to facilitate relationships that will benefit its members; to promote a better understanding of services rendered by CPAs; and to represent the CPA profession.

Leadership

Leadership Cabinet provides the Society and its board of directors with support and feedback on issues, which assist it in strategic planning. Its members participate on project teams and outreach activities to aid the Society in accomplishing its goals and objectives.

Emerging Leaders Alliance (ELA) members are the leaders of tomorrow. Members have the opportunity to interact with Society leadership and further develop professional skills. ELA members regularly participate in student outreach activities.

Legislative/Regulatory

The Indiana CPA Society advocates the CPA profession in the legislative process. Society staff members and volunteers attend Indiana Board of Accountancy meetings as well as state and national meetings with the AICPA, NASBA, IRS and many others. The Society offers grassroots opportunities for CPAs to get involved through the Legislative Key Person program and the CPA-PAC.

Peer Review

The Society administers the mandatory Peer Review program in Indiana to assist INCPAS members in meeting Indiana license and AICPA membership requirements. CPA firms must undergo a peer review once every three years to measure elements of quality control.

CPAs can earn the required continuing professional education (CPE) credits through classes offered at INCPAS. Classes are held at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels.
