The Indian roundleaf bat (Hipposideros lankadiva) is a species of bat in the family Hipposideridae. It is found in Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and caves. It is threatened by habitat loss. Hipposideros schistaceus is a synonym. It is the largest insectivore bat in Sri Lanka, where the bat is known as මහ පත්-නාස් වවුලා (meaning "greater leaf-nosed bat) in Sinhala.

Description
Head and body length is 15cm. Forearms 8-10cm. Wingspan 49-54cm. Weight 53-80g.
Uniform dark brown or grayish brown dorsally. Becomes lighter and more reddish brown with age. Underside is also lighter. The base of the hairs are whitish. Wing membrane is blackish brown, it is but kept in an extended position during rest.
