Since 1994, inFORM Decisions has been a developer and distributor of electronic document automation and payment automation solutions for IBM i (System i, AS/400, iSeries) and IBM Power Systems computing environments. inFORM's iDocs suite of document automation software works to make it easier for IT and application managers to design, distribute and print laser forms and MICR checks directly via IBM i output. Designed to intelligently burst, sort, format and distribute reports and provide simplified web access to electronic documents, iDocs works with any IBM i-based ERP/accounting solution with no additional coding. inFORM Decisions was one of the first IBM Business Partners to implement a comprehensive eDocument distribution system powered by intelligent routing capabilities for fax, email, archive-retrieval, and laser forms.

History
inFORM Decisions was founded in 1994 by Dan Forster. Its focus then was to provide simple, AS/400-based utilities to address the growing need to efficiently manage printed documents from applications. In the ensuing years, this expanded into the development of electronic document output applications, re-mapped forms and reports, MICR check technologies, faxing applications, bar code applications, document archive/retrieval, signature pad applications, and more, all of which have grown rapidly in recent years. The company's website is www.informdecisions.com.
inFORM's worldwide headquarters are located in the Orange County area of Southern California in the city of Rancho Santa Margarita.
Technologies for “The Paperless Office”
The promise of a paperless office, though widely contended is actually still evolving and gaining popularity, not only because of the cost savings to organizations but to its very real contribution to the environment by making a significant reduction in the need to grow and harvest trees for paper manufacture.

iSeries Document Automation
iDocs - The central processing engine (administrator) that runs with iSeries - System i - Power Systems Accounting/ERP software applications. iDocs monitors Output Queues for spool files, database files or XML data to process and route based on user-defined business rules. iForms – The “snap-on” laser form printing module that attaches to the iDocs Administrator to provide menus and business rules for defining dynamic, complex document printing operations. SmartRouter - The iDocs module is used to facilitate complex filtering and distribution requirements for IBM i spooled reports, forms and business documents. It controls the bursting and processing of spool files by individual page based on conditional user-defined criteria, and sorts, re-bundles and delivers spool content to individual targets. SmartRouter output feeds directly into other iDocs modules for distribution via email, fax and/or printer, or for indexing and storage in a Web-based archive for browser-based retrieval, 24x7. iMail - From an AS/400, iSeries, i5, System i or Power Server, messages, business documents and spool file reports can be sent in readable formats. iMail enables organizations to upgrade to a paperless environment for more efficient document management and distribution. Paper-based labor and associated costs are saved. iFax - A Power Systems, iSeries, System i native fax solution that works standalone or integrates with inFORM's iDocs or other third party document solutions to provide facsimile capability direct from a user's desktop. iPDF - An iSeries, System i and Power Systems NATIVE PCL to PDF converter. iPDF converts standard HP Laserjet output into the popular Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) iScan - Combines multiple levels of document capture. iView – A iSeries - System i native document archive - retrieval solution performing content management functions to enable the capture, storage, indexing and retrieval of spool files, merged documents and scanned forms so they are accessible via the Web.iSeries Payment Automation
iChecks - A MICR laser check printing systems to enable secure in-house, laser check printing operations. Check Secure - A small removable, programmable security device that attaches to any Hewlett Packard compatible laser printer. Small memory cards can be programmed by authorized personnel to contain signatures, MICR fonts, logos, forms and other resources. ACH ePayment - ACH is an American nationwide central clearing facility which processes ACH ePayment transactions (NACHA). This facility receives your company's electronic, pre-authorized debit and credit payments from your bank and routes them to the designated receiving banks. With ACH, organizations can securely transfer funds from its bank account for any purpose. Positive Pay - An electronic process by which companies and banks can mutually increase their level of security to an organization's check printing process. Positive Pay captures pertinent information (check number and amount) and saves it into a “Cash Handling File.” At a pre-set and automated time, an AS/400(iSeries) auto-job collects the data from the Automated Cash Handling File, collects header, trailer and layout information, then runs a calculation of totals and transmits this report via the AS/400(iSeries) ECS modem to the pre-selected bank. By this process, a bank is only authorized to process those checks included on the Positive Pay Report.Open Document Automation Solutions
iCapture - iCapture is a document capture and scanning platform for digitizing documents and processing existing electronic documents. It provides Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality to make documents searchable and perform data extraction. iWorkflow - iWorkflow is a workflow application providing the ability to digitize business process, and facilitate digital transformation.Awards
