Imai Station is served by the Shin'etsu Main Line and is 2.1 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Shinonoi Station. Trains of the Shinanoi Line and of the Shinano Railway also use this station, which is located past the nominal end station of these lines at Shinanoi.
