Imagi Laman Singamdre (English: Couldn't Pay The Debt Of My Mother) is a 2010 Meitei film directed by Romi Meitei and produced by Menaobi. It stars Hamom Sadananda, Rajkumar Kaiku, Kamala Saikhom and Bala Hijam in the lead, with Pritam, Dhanabati, Priyogopal and Jina portraying supporting roles. The story and screenplay of the film was written by Herojit Naoroibam. Ranbir Thouna composed the soundtrack and Romi Meitei wrote the lyrics.

    The movie begins with the depiction of a well cultured typical Meitei family with three brothers (Sadananda, Pritam and Kaiku), a sister and the mother (Dhanabati) who dreams to see her children bring back the long-awaited glory and happiness of the family.

    The movie runs through the context of the youngest brother Lan (Rajkumar Kaiku) who felt victim of intoxicating substances. In order to get his daily dose of supply, he took to lying and self inoculating deeds to satisfy his inhumilating high. After he left them behind and changed himself for good, the scars hunted him down to his grave.

    e-pao.org/erang wrote,"The movie showed how an entire generation, the youths, the future pillars of Manipur were being held hostage by drugs. Most of the audience could relate with the story, the message was loud and clear - Say no to drugs."

    Soundtrack

    Ranbir Thouna composed the soundtrack for the film and Romi Meitei wrote the lyrics. The song is titled Ngaikho Chatkhinu Nungshiba.
