Imad Salamey is an Associate Professor of Political Science and International Affairs and the Director of the Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution at the Lebanese American University (LAU). Salamey is a widely published researcher and scholar and a weekly contributing editor to the Arab Weekly. Among his works is The Government and Politics of Lebanon that explains the dynamic of Lebanese sectarian politics during conflict and consensus and unravels the role of domestic and international actors. In his research records are studies and reports that examine power sharing and political transitions in Lebanon and the Middle East and North Africa. He is a Senior Policy and Program Evaluation consultant for various governments and international organizations on issues related to sectarianism, democratic transitions, Islamist movements, security, and public policy in the Middle East.
