The ice troll first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).
The ice troll appeared in second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Fiend Folio Appendix (1992). The ice troll appeared under the "troll" heading in the Monstrous Manual (1993).
The ice troll appeared for third edition in Dragon #301 (November 2002). The ice troll appeared for the Forgotten Realms setting in Unapproachable East (2003).
Description
An ice troll is a cold-dwelling troll which is smaller and more intelligent than a normal troll.
