Ian Wannamaker (born 24 April 1981) is a Canadian-born New Zealand ice hockey player who currently plays for the Botany Swarm in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League. He has been a member of the New Zealand men's senior ice hockey team, the Ice Blacks, representing New Zealand internationally on five occasions (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015).

New Zealand Ice Hockey League

Born in Canada, Wannamaker has spent his ice hockey career at Botany Swarm, a club with which he has won the New Zealand Ice Hockey League championship trophy four times: 2007; 2008; 2010, when he as the most valuable player of the final match against the West Auckland Admirals; and in 2011.

International

Wannamaker was selected as a member of the Ice Blacks after receiving his New Zealand citizenship in December 2009. In 2010 he was selected for the national senior team to compete in the 2010 IIHF World Championship Division II tournament in Narva, Estonia, where he scored two goals in a game against Israel. Wannamaker was named as assistant captain for the 2011 IIHF World Championship Division II tournament held in Melbourne, Australia. In 2015 Wannamaker joined the national senior team for the fifth time to compete at the IIHF World Championship Division II held in Cape Town, South Africa, having also played at the 2012 and 2013 IIHF World Championship Division II.
