The ITV Polaris is a French single-place, paraglider that was designed by Xavier Demoury and produced by ITV Parapentes of Épagny, Haute-Savoie. It is now out of production.
Design and development
The Polaris was designed as an intermediate glider. The models are each named for their approximate wing area in square metres.
Polaris V2 24Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 11.09 m (36.4 ft) span wing has a wing area of 24 m
2 (260 sq ft), 51 cells and the
aspect ratio is 5.12:1. The pilot weight range is 50 to 70 kg (110 to 154 lb). The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified.
Polaris V2 26Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.53 m (37.8 ft) span wing has a wing area of 25.95 m
2 (279.3 sq ft), 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.12:1. The pilot weight range is 70 to 90 kg (154 to 198 lb). The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified.
Polaris V2 28Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 11.98 m (39.3 ft) span wing has a wing area of 27.99 m
2 (301.3 sq ft), 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.12:1. The pilot weight range is 90 to 110 kg (198 to 243 lb). The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified.
