History

The club was founded in 1990 by the merger of VTJ Písek, and Jixtex Písek. They were promoted to the Czech 1.liga for the 1995 season, following winning the Czech 2.liga in 1994. The team was relegated back to the 2. liga after the 2011/12 season, however, the club went bankrupt shortly after and never played a single game in the league.

Starting with the 2012/13 season, Písek plays in the South Bohemian Ice Hockey league, a regional competition consisting of teams from the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
