Fdj ifa wartburg
IFA Wartburg was a Swedish band founded by Heinz Klinger and Rolf Kempinski. The name stems from the East German car of the same name.
Contents
The lyrics – sung in German – were about the socialist era of East Germany and the USSR.
Their music was eclectic, ranging from bossa nova (Frau Gorbatschowa tanzt Bossanova), pop/ska (FDJ), to jazz and swing (Spassjazz).
They toured Germany and Switzerland in 1998, attracting the attention of the German media.
