Background

IAG Consulting was established in 1997 as The Information Architecture Group, Inc. and launched 'The Requirements Discovery Process' later the same year. In 2003, IAG Consulting helped found the International Institute of Business Analysis.

The Information Architecture Group acquired Digital Mosaic, a main competitor in requirements definition and management services, in 2006. Following the acquisition, The Information Architecture Group re-branded to IAG Consulting.

Publishing and Research

In 2009, IAG Consulting released the second edition of the Business Analysis Benchmark Study — a survey involving 550 companies worldwide. The study found that poor requirements definition and management leads to 33% of money spent on IT development being wasted.

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
