Hussein Tai (born 1966, Baghdad) is an Iraqi-Danish contemporary artist. He graduated from Baghdad in 1992, and after on completed a Masters in Fine Art(MFA) in the National College of Art and Design(NCAD).
Hussein Tai's imagery is predominantly abstract and holds a special alternation between quiet surfaces and tempestuously energy centers. From his time in Iraq comes a color use, which together with more Nordic color tones, gives the works a significant depth. Tai strives to combine a flat fitting expression of perspectival aspects which works give a special character of intensity and a condensed expression.
His work to date includes paintings, graphic print and photography.
