Humayun Abbas Zaidi 'Tabish Meerathi ('ہمایوں عبّاس ذیدی ' تابش میرٹھی) हुमायूं अब्बास ज़ैदी 'ताबिश मेरठी' Born on May 17, 1975 in Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), India is a hymner (Nauhakhwan) of Karbala, associated with Anjuman Dasta-e-Hussaini, Meerut. He popularised the art of reciting Nauha or Noha in South Asia. His compositions are recited all over world. He has performed live in Iran, Pakistan, Dubai, UK and at various places in India. He is a popular face on religious television channels. His regular places of visit include Najibabad. His first album Hay Hussain was released in 1992. Sada (title) of his Anjuman, 'Taziadar Hain Hum'is one of the most popular in Indian subcontinent. T-Series, Sonic, HMV are the popular music companies to release his albums in India.

Family

Humayun Abbas Zaidi was born to Syed Naqi Abbas Zaidi. He is married to Amtul Hajra Baquiri, daughter of noted trade unionist and social activist, late Saiyed Ali Zafar of Syed Nagli (Amroha). Both have two sons

Early life

Humayun Meerathi was born as Humayun Abbas Zaidi. His father Syed Naqi Abbas Zaidi was UDC in Municipal Corporation of Meerut. The family originally belogs to village Kakrauli of Sadat-e-Bara in Muzaffarnagar District of Uttar Pradesh. While he was in 8th Std, his first album ‘Hay Hussain’ was released. All the lyrics of this album were composed by Fakhri Meerathi.

Taziadar Hain Hum

Composed by Fakhri Meerathi, this title nauha, first emerged in Humayun Meerathi’s album ‘Hay Hussain’, vol-2 in 1993. Since then this has been recomposed several times and many new stanzas have been added. The title nauha, also for Anjuman Dasta-e-Hussaini(Regd), Meerut is widely acclaimed and has been top recommendation since years.
