Early life
Hugo Castejón was born in Oviedo, Spain, but grew up in Madrid, Spain. He went to High School in Boston (MA, USA) and studied business in Italy and in Philadelphia (PA, USA). In his early days during his college time in Italy he created an amateur band where he was the lead singer and songwriter.
Personal life
He’s been reported to have had a relationship with Italian filmmaker Giada Collagrande and with Spanish singer Marta Sánchez.
Career
In 2013, Hugo writes with co-writer and producer, Carlos Peralta (Maffio) his first song “Dance La Noche”. The song was released worldwide in November 2013. It reached the #4 position on iTunes Spain and the top ten in some Latin American countries.
In June 2014 Hugo writes his second single “You’ll Be Mine” that reached #1 position on iTunes Spain and was #1 in radio stations of different countries in Latin America. The song has a version in Spanish, “Vas A Flipar”, which was presented in Univision’s “Despierta America” with great success.
In May 2015, Hugo releases his 3rd single “Fiesta Tonight” and “Fiesta Tonight” Spanish, reaching again #1 position on iTunes Spain. He also performed in Univision’s “Despierta America”.
Hugo has been named It Boy of the moment by Mens Health Spain and Hombre 10 by Diez Minutos magazine.
