Htay Oo (Burmese: ဌေးဦး; born 20 January 1950 in Henzada, Burma) was a member of parliament in the Pyithu Hluttaw, the lower house of the national legislature. He was formerly a retired Major General in the Myanmar Army, as well as former Minister for Agriculture and Irrigation.Htay Oo was elected Deputy chairman of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, in office from October 2012 to August 2015 succeeded by Myat Hein, former Minister for Communications and Information Technology and retired General and he was re-elected as the chairman of Party Central Leading committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party in August 2015.
