Howard G. Bunker (April 26, 1905 – February 24, 1994) was a Major General in the United States Air Force.

Biography

Bunker was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1905. He would attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bunker died on February 24, 1994.

Career

Bunker graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1928. He was originally assigned to the Coast Artillery Corps before transferring to the Air Corps. During World War II he served with the United States Strategic Air Forces in Europe. Later in his career he served in the Office of the Inspector General of the Air Force.

Awards he received include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Croix de guerre. Bunker was also a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
