Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust is an NHS organisation providing adult and children's community health services, such as district nursing and health visiting, in West London. Its is responsible for Teddington Memorial Hospital. It has plans to become a Foundation Trust but it is unclear when this may happen.

History

The Trust was established in 2011 as part of the Transforming Community Services initiative from the community services arm of the then Hounslow Primary Care Trust and Richmond Primary Care Trusts.

Stephen Swords has been Chair for the board since it was established.

It runs the Hounslow Wheelchair and Posture Management Service and the integrated community response service. The service team is made up of a GP, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, other support staff, social workers, a primary care mental health nurse and a handyman.

St John's Health Centre in Twickenham, run by the trust, provides exercise classes during school holidays for children with hemiplegia and diplegia.

Performance

It was named by the Health Service Journal as one of the top hundred NHS trusts to work for in 2015. At that time it had 868 full-time equivalent staff and a sickness absence rate of 3.38%. 72% of staff recommend it as a place for treatment and 61% recommended it as a place to work.
