Hotel Nikko San Francisco is a high-rise hotel at 222 Mason Street near Union Square, San Francisco, California. The 90 m (295 ft) 28-story hotel has 532 hotel rooms, and is owned by DATAM, LLC. and operated by Nikko Hotels. The hotel is one block away from Union Square, San Francisco and five blocks from the Moscone Center. The hotel opened in October 1987.

Description

The hotel was designed by AMTAD, Inc. and Whisler- Patri Architects and built by Takenaka. The hotel has 16 guest floors, 11 elevators, a health club, spa, lounge, cabaret room, and a restaurant. Restaurant ANZU is located on the 2nd floor and is visible from the lobby. The 24-hour health club, Club Nikko, is 10,000 sq. ft., and includes a fitness center, steam room, sauna, shiatsu massages, and an atrium style pool, located on the 5th floor. There is a 2,200 sq. ft. outdoor terrace, which includes a dog run, both of which completed during Club Nikko's renovation in early 2016. The terraces provides access to fresh air and natural light. The hotel has an Imperial lounge, located on the 23rd floor, and is only accessible to guests staying the Imperial floors, 22–24. The lounge offers a light breakfast every morning, as well as a wine and beer reception every evening, both available 7 days a week. In 1997, Hotel Nikko was named a AAA 4-Diamond property and is also a Forbes 4-Star property. Restaurant ANZU specializes in Californian cuisine with Asian flare, and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The critically acclaimed restautant, ANZU, is overseen by Hotel Nikko's Food and Beverage Director, Chef Phillippe Striffeler. Striffeler was named one of five 2015 recipients of the prestigious Antonin Carême Medal presented by the American Culinary Federation’s San Francisco Chapter on November 16, 2015.
