Horton Bay is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Charlevoix County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 512.

Geography
Horton Bay is located in the southwest corner of Bay Township, on the bay of the same name in Lake Charlevoix. Boyne City Road leads 6 miles (10 km) southeast to Boyne City and 9 miles (14 km) northwest to U.S. Route 31 near Charlevoix. Horton Bay Road leads north 5 miles (8 km) to US 31 near Bay Shore.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Horton Bay CDP has a total area of 4.8 square miles (12.5 km2), all of it land.
In culture
Horton Bay was featured in several of Ernest Hemingway's Nick Adams stories, including "The End of Something".
