Horace Gant, Jr. (born April 7, 1985) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at St. Olaf College. Gant has been a member of two National Football League (NFL) teams, the Washington Redskins and St. Louis Rams.

High school

Gant attended Pine Forest High School, where he was named All-Region in football his senior year. He was a member of the state champion team as a sophomore and a member of three-time district championship teams. Gant was a three-time letterman in football and basketball.

College career

Gant established himself as a standout in his first collegiate game versus Luther College, when he helped lead St. Olaf College back from a 30-6 halftime deficit, capping the comeback with an 80-yard touchdown reception to take the lead in the game's final minute. Gant holds school career records for receptions (185), receiving yards (3,061) and receiving touchdowns (27). In 2007, his senior season he was a Division III Third-Team All-America selection after catching 65 passes for 1,121 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was All-MIAC as well. In 2006 Gant was All-MIAC, totaling 42 catches and five touchdowns. In 2005, he was a First-team All-MIAC selection. In 2004 Gant was Second-team All-MIAC. after leading St. Olaf in receptions (35) and receiving yards (542).

Washington Redskins

He was signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2008.

St. Louis Rams

He was signed by the St. Louis Rams in 2009.
