Hood River Valley High School (HRVHS) is a public high school in Hood River, Oregon, United States. HRVHS was the result of the consolidation of two smaller high schools at the time of its founding.

Contents

Academics

HRVHS is a Title 1 school. The school has a drop out rate of 2.8% and the attendance rate of the school is 94%. Of the 38% of students who took the SAT, the average Verbal score was 504 and the average Math score was 507.

For the 2006 Oregon Statewide Assessments, the score for Reading was 57%, the state average being 55%. For Science, the score was 50%, below the state average of 62%. In Writing the score was 55%, equal to the state average of 55%. The score for Math was 38% and the state average was 45%.

In 2008, 76% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 314 students, 238 graduated, 53 dropped out, 5 received a modified diploma, and 18 are still in high school.

HRVHS is currently a 5A school in the Columbia River Conference of the OSAA.
